Bix Beiderbecke - Bix Restored Series.
Ben Webster - Big Ben - covers Ben Webster's work w/ Fletcher Henderson, Duke Ellington, Willie Bryant and Jay McShann, as well as with his (and other) small groups

You really hit the high water marks Chas. I'll throw in a few more artist for the esoteric listeners:

anything by Django Reinhardt and The Hot Club of France
most anything by Jack Teagarden
Getz/Gilberto By Stan Getz
Take Five by Dave Brubeck
Sunday at the Village Vanguard by Bill Evans
The Original Quartet with Chet Baker by Gerry Mulligan

Happy listen to all!

Ok, so one of my favorite live recordings is Jazz at Massey Hall by The Quintet. Every member of The Quintet is a favorite musician of mine and I already have some of their solo albums. Can anyone suggest othe studio or live albums by any member of this quintet (Max Roach, Bud Powell, Charles Mingus, Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie)?
