Sweatband replacement/renovation

I'm sure this has been dealt with here before, but who is the current "Go To" guy for replacing a sweatband in a vintage (1940's) Stetson and perhaps re-blocking as well?

Optimo Hats, Jimmy Pierce or Art Fawcett seem to be the favorites among the loungers for refurbing hats. There are others if you search the web for cutom hatter.

Thanks Stoney! I just spoke with the nice lady at Optimo who assured me they could take care of my old Stratoliner and make it good as new.
It's boxed up and shipped off; can't wait to see the results!

seam split

Please let us know how it looks when it returns.

I have a nice vintage Stetson Whippet.
All the stitches on the closing seam at the rear of the sweatband split, otherwise seems in great shape. Anyone tried restitching this seam? I’d hate to have to replace the entire sweatband…but will

lookoutscj -- Here's another tip of the hat to Optimo. I've now sent two Whippets over to Graham for cleaning and blocking. They have returned in absolutely pristine condition. I think you'll be pleased. Good luck!

Thanks for the confidence vote Jimmy the Lid; I've got some good before photos to compare with the after; I'll post results for those interested. Always hard shipping of an "old friend" although this one was in serious need of some TLC.
Still looking for that "MINT" Stratoliner in 7 3/8 LO...(with the DC3 pin)
