Actually, I'm totally into it! Just a joy to see, when it works. But I would like to exchange ideas with you all here!
Actually, I got two small black metal no BS-feeding sites hanging on limbs, high enough "cat-safe". Additional, on each of the both chestnut trees, I got four food poles in four different feed-mixtures hanging around the black feedings sites.
It needed one and a half week, until the birds became aware of the food, but now both feedings sites are frequented.
Under the one chestnut tree, "half-shadowed", I got a 32 cm terracotta bird font/bath, which seemingly does it's job. It's standing under the feeding site and the food poles. But I think, it's place is improvable. But at least, the birds became aware of it. I had also a small grey concrete bird bath, but I don't think, the were aware of it. Actually, I relaced the small one on my window board.
Two days ago, I added some prepared peanuts and mountain ash berries from garden market in the feeding-site. BUT I promptly saw, that the birds were totally irritated or even a little scared by the peanuts sitting there! So yesterday, I removed them and threw it on the bottom.
What I also saw, that they totally love the unpeeled sunflower seeds from the bird compound feed! But I also added peeled sunflower seeds.
I will make some telephoto lens shots, the next days!
