Think on it.

"Boardwalk Empire"
"The Walking Dead"
"Game of Thrones"

And those are just the worst off the top of my head. Remember when Sunday was the most bloodless night of the week?

"Ed Sullivan"
"Disney"
"Bonanza" (rarely was a shot fired in anger.

Geeze Louise - I'm no purde and as a vet I've seen my share of violence but tonights body count was ridiculous. Even had me shaking my head in disbelief! And next weeks gonna be even WORSE!

Body counts on 'The Walking Dead' don't count - they're the "undead" and putting down a walker is only killing the virus living in their brain. Herschel had to learn that too - he sure knows now! (LOL)

Let's not forget Dexter and Homeland! Sunday night televison is not for the faint of heart. It's programming for those who love their murder and mayhem. Definitely not grandpa's Sunday night t.v.

I haven't watched TV (except for old movies on the DVD and VCR) since MASH went off the air. Good to know I'm not missing anything.

A friend of mine is a big fan of Dexter and has been wanting to show me all the episodes. There's a reason why I don't have a TV. :p

I went without a TV for a decade or more, and I didn't regret it at all. And I do believe my life would be little the worse without one now. But I'm not the only person in this household, and my Internet and landline phone come in on the same cable as the TV programming. And, as Feraud observed, there is indeed TV programming that's well worth your time. Or so I've discovered.

Still, I'm not one to have the TV on for the sake of having the TV on. I know what I expect to watch whenever I switch it on. And I'm tellin' ya, this "on demand" programming you can get these days is whole 'nother thing from what TV used to be. If not for it, I doubt I could tolerate the tedium of my daily exercise routine.
