Suit patterns from interbellum?

Does anyone know a good source for men's suit patterns from the interbellum period? I would like to bring some illustrations to my tailor for a project I have been mulling over for some time. I believe I have a green light to move forward for my birthday so I need to get serious about the details...

I think we'd all like to know where to find men's suit patterns!

There's a thread here called Developing a line of menswear patterns, which was started in response to posts about the lack of men's vintage clothing patterns generally.

There are many Apparel Arts illustrations here, a quick search you get you started. Or take a look at the suits available through Matt Deckard, a member here.

There was also an excellent series of posts on 1930's British Menswear catalog images. I looked but will be darned if I can find the thread:eusa_doh: , perhaps someone else can direct us to it.

Thank you WH1 and Creeping Past. I was thrilled when Marc Chevalier and others posted the Apprel Arts images and others from period catalogs. These and many of the discussions in these fora have given me a fairly clear picture of what I want, down to the smallest details. Unfortunately, my tailor is better acquainted with Edwardian (close) and late 19th century sartorial history.

I might be tempted to beg a favor from a friend, or perhaps and FIT student, to help me illustrate the 3pc suit I want with the extra odd waistcoat and trousers that will be reminiscent of a stroller and a few shirts in something along the lines of a high eton or club collar.

It seems you've potentially got a good team behind you. Good luck enlisting their help.

I'm sure there are many, including me, who'd be interested to see the results (with or without the workings out, illustrations and sketches).
