Suit design failure

Call me lax, but I've just noticed that the 2-piece single breasted suit that I had made recently doesn't have a buttonhole in the left lapel. Yup, I forgot to ask for one.

Would anyone care to console me by sharing similar shortcomings in bespoke suit design?

Why not go back to you tailor/cutter and have him put one in? He should not charge you for such a minor change.

It's only a very minor adjustment, go back to the tailor and he should be able to do it there and then

Thanks, you fellows. I'd get it fixed with the tailor, but Brighton to Leeds is too far. I'll get it sorted locally.

Obviously it's an easy fix, guys, but it was a silly thing to overlook. Share some similar mistakes you've made with your bespoke items to make him feel better!

As a point of note, omitting this button hole was quite common with many tailors in Yorkshire - virtually no Sheffield or Leeds tailor (when there were some) would volunteer that feature.
