I just got my first vintage magazine, Ladies Home Journal Sept 1942, from eBay. It's in great shape and I'd like to keep it that way. Does anyone have suggestions for how I should store this?

It would be best to store it flat in an acid-free folder. The paper can outgas in one of those better than it can in a plastic bag.

Metal Edge makes the best for archives, but they are not cheap. I don't know if office supply stores carry acid-free products or not.

Mylar sleeves are best. Get them at comic book stores or you can order them from www.egerber.com. The large ones to fit your magazines are about 35 cents each and well worth it. Comic book collectors use these to store their valuable comics.
