I have a stetson whippet, and for some reason, it smells like tiramisu when it gets wet!

I also have a Stetson 25 and I think its a great value hat. The felt on mine is very dense. I do not know when these came out, but you got a great hat.

Ribbon Change

I don't know if you particularly love the open road thin ribbon thing. I sent a similar hat to Optimo for a clean and block. Marlene, my favorite ribbon gal, changed the thin crown ribbon to a BLACK "normal" 40's look, and rebound the edge in a color that matched the felt body.

Well worth it. Changed the entire look of the hat! I personally have never cared for the thin "open road" style ribbon. However, I have a mint, NEW in BOX Dobbs open crown with the thin ribbon. Since it has never been worn, it will stay original.

I am going to do the same thing to that Stetson 100 I got Andykev. I don't mind that style for the variety sake, but I have several already and I wanted something different on the Stetson 100. I'm going to wait and see if Art is back in business anytime soon, if not I'll probably send it to Optimo also. Would you mind telling me what they charged you to do it?

You are looking at 6 months, realistically, give or take

Art is NOT back in business. I just spoke to him. He is up this weekend having the foundation poured for the new house. That is telling as to how far down the road the hat shop will be. I suspect by Christmas, he will be sitting in his new house in the mountains, enjoying the fire, sipping a crown royal, and knowing the hats are all safe in his new shop!

another reason for wanting the change is a stain on the ribbon that just won't come out. you can kind of see it on the front of the bow.
