Stetson Sovereign Mode Edge

I Found in an antique shop a stetson Sovereign With the Original Price tag. $20. This is a twenty X, black beaver felt.. Bound to be at least 40 years old. I'll try to get some pictures of it up. It is in great condition, nearly new. Could some one please tell me the history of that line of hat? I went to the stetson site and could find even a similar one! I'm really curious about the history. Please tell me all you know in general! Thanks

Without a picture, I can't really tell you all that much, other than it sounds like you got yourself a very nice hat.

Yes, pictures would help. I happen to have a Stetson Twenty Sovereign Mode Edge that dates from 1957, for whatever that's worth to you. But Stetson made many, many (millions, maybe?) Sovereign grade hats, in many, many different styles.
Still, it's a safe bet that your antique store find is a fine hat. I look forward to seeing those photos.

Yessir! It looks almost Identical! Still working on those pics. I don't know how to post them on this site! The only difference between mine and yours appears to be the color. I've also noticed a strange characteristic of the felt, I suppose. In most light, the hat is black. But in certain light, even natural light, the felt appears almost forest green. Ever heard of anything like this?

Sombra this hat is gated 1945. Does the sweat on yours have similar stamping and logo?
