Hey all!
I recently acquired this 'un off of OFAS & was wondering as to its age.

Apparently there is no other indication as to model or make other than "No. 1 Quality". I have searched & found precious little on this other than Fedoralover opining that the "NO. 1 Quality" designation indicated a "very early" Stetson in this thread here:Stetson felt question I was wondering if any more info had come to light in the last couple of years?
Does anyone else have a "No. 1 Quality" Stetson with this ruby-red liner?

thanks,

Rick

Thanks Dean-o

I knew the campaign-esque line would appeal to you. Tho' I am likely to rebash it into a thin-ribboned fedora style when it arrives...

cheers,

Looking forward to your work on it! Campaign hats aren't everything to me...just an affectation. I just like higher crowns and wider brims and C-crowns carry that look just as nicely. Plenty of Campaign hats were not crimped and tapered, quite a few had very fedora-like bashes. Again, darn nice hat you got there!

good luck on the refurb!

Yeah, your thread was actually the second of only two with those keywords I could find here (or anywhere else). Very little info on these I guess. Smashing transformation on that "Wildcatter" too! You are a braver man than I.

Leave it alone, unless you want to give the side brims a little turn up.

Yeah, I am gonna have to snap the brim down a bit in front & impart a tad of curl to the rear, even if I do keep it in the Alpine/Cattleman's crease.
