Star Glove Police Jacket HH, Mouton-Lined, early 40s

Star Glove early 40s Police jacket. HH.

Incredible hide, incredible jacket. All seams nice and tight. It really is one of the nicest jackets I have put my hands on.

Needs new main zip. I’ve got a new RiRi M10 in nickel that I can include with the jacket. Just let me know. Also, the corduroy lining on the collar is worn in a couple of spots. Easy fix. All else good.

I am selling because the drop from chest to waist is too severe for me. Add in the fact that I always have gear around my waist, forgetaboutit. No way, no how I will ever get this jacket zipped. Plus, the 24” P2P is really tight on me. So the pattern runs small. I could tell it wouldn’t fit the second I took it out of the box, even though the measurements are good.

Looking to get out what I paid, minus the zip if ya want it. I’ll take the hit on that. Not a cheap zip.

$475 shipped US. $515 anywhere else. PP F&F.

Trades cool too.

What a jacket. Jackets like this one, is so very difficult for me to let it go. Having seen some of your collection, you are set for life. Good luck with this one. I truly hope a person that can wear this jacket well would pick it up. Not many around.

Found this little repair job on the shoulder. It’s all good. A little stitching around the issue to keep it secure. Looks like a battlefield job. Nothing that diminishes the integrity of the jacket. I don’t mind stuff like that, especially on a 40s jacket.

Man this is so nice. Id send to dena and add some material at the side between the front and back bands (larger triangle piece of leather) and/or extend or replace the back panel with larger one making it fit you

edit: nevermind sleeves and back pretty short prly dont fit that way either

The sleeves are good. A tad short but good. Let me ask her about that. I just got an email response from her.

Might be sacrilege to mess with it but damn not many it would fit with that drop. Probably could find some thick black leather to semi distress to match.

or better yet ask gwen at the new cal leather she would probably love to see this jacket and bring it back to life. And certainly has the heavy black cowhide or horse to match

I think it will be too much for me to make it work. It would be better if it worked for someone else. Too bad. Special jacket for sure.
