It goes without saying the ladies here are so taken by vintage fashions,
I was just thinking !:eusa_doh:
Have any of your friends/work colleges who had never worn any vintage seen you looking fabulous wearing vintage, remarked on how nice you look and encouraged them try out some vintage for themselves ?:eusa_clap

Of people I know, girlfriends included comment on my clothing and the like. But most girls I know just dont want to put in the effort to doll up peroid, let alone vintage it up.

I was just chatting with a friend of mine who was flippin over the 1940s style blouses I just made, but I dont see her taking the time above whats clean, comfortable, and ready to wear.

Plus lost gals I know think vintage is only to 1970, and everything past it is granny wear.

Id love to convert ladies to the cause, fellas too!

I have this "aquaintence" whom after noting that a particular gentleman was paying a bit of attention to me (he liked my style) all of a sudden has a new found interest in vintage dress. Hrm...

One of the gals I work with at the theatre is always asking me where I get my clothes -- and I keep telling her I make them myself. So now she's asking if I ever find any '40s patterns in her size, would I maybe make something for her? I sense a convert to the cause....

Personally, I'd love to see daily vintage wear catch on with the general public -- if it became mainstream, imagine how easy it'd be to find all the things we have to dig and search to locate now!

People that I know who admire my clothes comment on them but don't really like the style for themselves. My cousin who is my dearest friend loves my clothes but, it just isn't her style, you know? I have another friend who adopted my style as a "seasoning" to her style, she'll throw a vintage piece in here and there but doesn't really go all out. My very small group of friends are very fashionable in their own right, we just have very different styles.

I initially I was thinking that a web site promoting the wearing of more vintage by accessorising , like bags and blouses or just one individual items would be good, but and always a but is so often involved , I realized that if you were interested enough in vintage to go on line then you would hopefully find place here and some of the many other sites ,they in my view a lot better and provide much better info than ever I could do.
I was thinking that then peer pressure might be a strong influence also as the ladies here are such good ambassador for vintage,
That was the original idea of the post to find out if that was true , it looks to me that Vintage Fashions and style has to be in the blood for you to start wearing and appreciating it.
Personally I do think to vintage style has so much to offer a women in general even if they do not want to wear full vintage or all the time.
It goes without saying every lady want to look her best and vintage can offer her another way of achieving that but the time and trouble involved might not be worth it for the majority of women.
It would be nice to here if any one has any luck with converting someone to vintage fashion.
Thank you all so far.
