Splayds!

You Loungers from Down Under probably know all about Splayds, but it was a revelation to me. I picked these up on eBay last week:

Invented in Australia in the late 1940's Splayds are still sold new although the design appears to have been changed slightly.

I think that these are from the 50's/60's due to the box design, but it could be much later. If anyone can date this box or has some interesting Splayd stories I would be glad to hear them. Personally I don't know why these things haven't spread all over the world. Spalyds are cooler than a Titanium Spork
