Just thought that I would post this as I'm not sure I've ever heard of anyone else actually making them. This is a drink Grandma use to make on holiday mornings (before the coffee was even made), to kinda help get everyone through the family gatherings and everyone including the kids drank them. She called them Golden Angels, anyone else ever have them?
here is the basic run down of how to make them:
one regular can of frozen orange juice
3/4 of a can or so of 7up
1 tray of ice
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 egg
and as much vodka as it takes (normally around 4 or 5 shots when I make them but I think Grandma used more)
stick it all in a blender and blend it until its nice and smooth. kinda makes like a spiked orange julius especially if you use vanilla vodka (something my Mom use to make them with)
