Some recently aquired items...

I bought these items at various places: Salvation Army, antique shops (both local and in Adamstown), and yard sales. The sewing machine was given to me by my mom (it was her mom's). It does work and I do use it.

This is the Dura vase I mention in the one thread on the Art Deco Item. Purchased for $10 in a Lewisburg antique shop.

The clock you see in the photo below is a repro. I got on eBay. It is a Moonbeam clock and that style/model is 1950.

Sewing machine given to me. It is dated 1938-39. I came across the info. on Jitterbuzz website. I had sent a photo of the cabinet to the owner and you will see it pictured on her site.

The small case I had for awhile, which I got on eBay. The larger one though, I purchased for $10 at a Lewisburg antique shop. The leather was rather roughed up and worn, so what I did was took glue to help seal it, as well as putting it on the canvas. I then painted it and sealed it with sealer as that is my suitcase to use.

Kromex aluminum set. Purchased in Adamstown for $24

Shown with my other non-vintage canisters I've had for awhile. I use them to store spices, spiced ersatz coffee, herbal teas, and sugar. The s/p shakers are being used as such.

Milkglass and Jadeite Fireking bowls. There was only one of the Jadeite bowls that had a more expensive cost at $18. All the rest of the bowls were inexpensive, one of the Jadeite ones being with 2 of the Milkglass that I got in a yard sale.

1950s drinking glass set w/ carrier. This was $18, and I got that in Adamstown. I do have all the glasses, just like I have 4 milkglass bowls...but, I don't want to show you dirty dishes. *grin*

I have two of these, one happily holding pork and sauerkraut at the moment. These are dated from 1946. I got them at Salvation Army. They are Nautilus bowls.
