Special-ordered size/color through everythingaustralian.com.au
Black Brim/Ribbon (Special Request)
Bought it for $65.36 USD shipped (+2.50 foreign currency fee from credit card company) (108.52 AUD)

It turns out I am not, in fact, a size 63.
More like a 61-62 LO

Wore it for about 20 minutes, in denial that I had just put myself through 4 months of wait (it took longer than normal) for the wrong size.

Its a really gorgeous hat, great color, seems really soft

My loss = your gain.

Want to sell it so it finds a nice home.
$45 Plus Shipping (I have the original box to ship it in)
Your choice of carrier/insurance, etc... between (UPS, FedEx, USPS)
I'll include the receipt from your selected carrier so you know I didn't surcharge.
(Item will ship from Mid-Missouri, USA)

Payment Methods:
PayPal (Best if you finance it with a bank account, so they dont charge me for your use of a credit card... but if you use a CC... I guess I'll just accept it anyway)
Personal Check (Ship when Clears)
Money Order
Cashier's Check

Thanks

I was planning to order this very hat in 62 long oval, but that would have meant a wait of several months (at more expense), so I am thrilled to be buying this one. I have two Stylemasters (in colors I like, but not as much), and even without the long oval, they've come to fit me well, so I know in advance that this is going to be my favorite hat, bar none.

I can't wait.

Its on its way :)
Payment Recieved.

I'm amazed... I had been sitting on the hat for about 2 months, thinking that I should list it, but expecting it wouldn't sell because of the size.

I'm pleasantly surprised that I decided to get off my bum and list it and turned out to be wrong about the difficulty of selling it.

Listed, Sold, Shipped, and Paid-For within 18 hours.

Cheers for TheFedoraLounge!

Waitaminnit -- you didn't tell me you'd been sitting on the hat for two months!

Well, at least the felt ought to be softened up pretty well by now, though it's sure to require a rebashing.

haha :)

I knew saying it like that might garner some jokes, but silly me, I just had to say it that way despite knowing it.

Skyvue, when you get a chance, post photos of that fine Stylemaster on your head...it looks like a beauty and many of us may well endure a long wait to place a special order like that one.

It was a little bit of a gamble to have the brim bound with a color that didn't match the hat body... I gathered from other threads that some individuals thought it wouldn't be a good idea. (indirect evidence that I, myself, may not like it).

How do you all think it turned out?

Thanks,
Rhabryn

I'll admit that's the one drawback I see with the hat -- it's a bit flashier (or something) than my usual style -- but I decided to give it a try. If it doesn't suit me, I'll have the brim rebound somewhere.

I take most of my cues for vintage wear from old movies, and I don't recall seeing a contrasting bound brim like this, but perhaps I just never noticed it before.

I'm hoping that perhaps the hat will arrive today (though we've got four days in the 80s ahead of us, starting tomorrow, so I might not get to wear it till Wednesday or so).
