FIRST OFFER to the members, then this will go public. This is a very good deal at the price being offered.
THIS is my own personal Aero A-2. It's an original wartime model in beautiful horsehide and is in 'great' strong, wearable condition.
It's a SIZE 40" (Measurements below), the lining (which I have checked for wear, tear and holes and can find 'none!' ) and rib knits are 'all' original and in really good condition (the waist knit has a few nibbles, but honestly for an original knit it's in GREAT wearable condition and still nice and 'tight').
There has been a squadron patch removed at some point, and so I had a similar shaped one professionally made and stitched on (And aged to match the age of the jacket). The AAF transfer is still very visable (see pics). Also a duplicate Manufacturer's Label was professionally matched up by ALC.
The iconic original Crown Zip is lovely. Due to the bottom teeth dislodged, I have to manually feed the zipper pull on, but it's easy to do (and I didn't want to replace the original zip) and then the zipper works well.
The jacket has the most beautiful graining and patina, and the leather is supple, strong
and a real head turner (it is just gorgeous!).
Measurements:
Armpit 2 Armpit: 21"
Shoulder seam to end of cuff knit: 23"
Back of collar to botton of rib knit: 23"
Across back of shoulders: 18"
PRICE: £650 GBP
Posting to be determined (but will use DHL Door-to-Door service, signed for), but the jacket isn't heavy, so shouldn't be much.
Forgive me Gents with ALL THE PHOTOS but is the absence of you being able to handle this beautiful jacket in person and seeing it for yourself, this is the next best thing I can do.
PM ME IF YOU WANT IT.
