End of 50's approximate Royal Stetson in a cool Medium Gray with a strong Blue component. Bound brim is a full 2-1/4" and open crown would be about 5-5/8". Firmer and better shape-holding than the typical Whippet. Binding and bow are very much as on the Whippet model. No tags of any kind remaining on the body(visited the cleaners?). The crown block is a bit more straight-sided and square shouldered than the Whippet and a good bit of curve to the flanging. Sizes out as solid 7-5/8 size(61 cm.) Circumference 23-7/8, oval is 8-1/4" x just over 6-7/8". Some dust but generally pretty clean. I can't find any damage top side. Underside has some scattered very small-scale moth nibbles as seen in photo--unlikely to be visible when worn. Slightly darker and less blue in person.
$165.00 shipped Cont'l USA with its period rectangular Stetson Box which is in good shape.
