WWII Navy PEACOAT 10 Button Throat Latch Corduroy Pockets Kersey 21" Pit to Pit
Asking $175 usd shipped to cont usa
PP GIFT OR ZELLE
Buyer pays intl shipping. From my experience approx $80 shipping to UK as a guide.
Everything you look for in vintage WWII Peacoat!
- No moth holes 32oz Kersey wool (tighter weave wool)
- Full intact liner
- Corduroy lined pockets 10 button front (8 showing)
- Officer name and rank on label
- Name and rank stenciled on liner
- original buttons have never fell off or never needed resewing. There is no button sewing thread in inside liner
*I personally cleansed the energy of the garment by using incense and lavander mist so the next owner can enjoy putting their own positive energy into the coat for many years.
Size tag is missing but this is either a 42 or 40 from the 1940s. As an fyi 1940 WWII 40 would be smaller than a 1970s 40 vs 2000+ 40 etc. Men were slimmer back then
Flat measurements
Shoulder to bottom hem: 31½ in
Pit to pit 21 in
Waist 20¼ in
Across back shoulders: 19 in
Sleeve from shoulder: 24.5 in
Overall excellent pre-owned condition with gentle wear. Has a few tiny flat spots but not holes. Hardly noticeable in pics with the penny. Otherwise no issues found.
Unreal condition for 70+ yr old coat. No smells of any kind. Many vintage peacoats sell for $100 usd but with issues. And this size is very rare. Many are 44 or 36. And also very rare in intl markets.
