//SOLD// 4 French Womens hats //SOLD//

Era unknown. I'm thinking teens-20s. Please correct me if you know better.

1 straw, one very odd-looking, no idea what to call it (women's hats not within my vintage knowledge-base), 2 open backed or open fronted?. All are about the same size - approx 21.5 - though the open front/back ones will fit a number of head sizes.

This is the first open fronted/backed one. I have no idea whether the open end is worn forwards or backwards . . .

Dark blue velvet base topped by a satin-type crown with lace detailing and a red velvet bow with this abomination of a french fry like collection on the back. Not nearly so dirty as it appears in the first pic, though the blue velvet is a bit worn..

The second open fronted/backed number. Very simple; black velvet base with black lace detailing on the crown.

The straw (though it feels like fake straw . . . maybe it's real, who knows?) needs a good steam to reshape it.

And then this thing. Is this a cloche hat? Colours are accurate. Minor wear.

I've no idea what these things are worth. Someone tell me what i should charge for them! Shipping to the US will be $12 (for all 4 hats). Eurozone/Uk obviously lower shipping.

Do you have a pic of the lining in the black hat with the colored trim? It might be Edwardian, but the shape is kind of 60's.

The cloche I'm guessing is late teens to early twenties. It's amazing! Do you know how much you would want to charge for it and what the circumference is?

The Habana (not Havana... wierd!) straw hat is probably early 30's.

not sure about the black one... again, it looks Victorian but it's shaped 50's. I know that a lot of time they stole the base design from the past, but you so rarely see those little ones without ribbons attached to the sides. Is there a place where it looks like there were wide ribbons attached? That could solve it!

Sorry, I'm stumped! [huh]

Ok- they're probably Victorian or Edwardian by the lining. The cloche looks like it's pretty good condition so you could probably get a decent amount for it! It's too small for my head, unfortunately :( I'm not very good at pricing... maybe pm Art Fawcett? He had some stellar women's hats with Vintage Silhouettes.
