This is another recent London find that's too big for me. I've also found a few recently that fit me which is nice. This sweater is very early, probably from the 20s or 30s, but 40s or 50s is not impossible. `made by "Imperial, Official Award" and named to a "Donald Shephard". The wool is in great condition with no snags or holes that i can see. No stains either, and no evidence of mothing. It is black as they come, which in itself is quite rare. The pictures are not accurately coloured as i had to lighten them to show details. Picture it as jet black. Check the measurements to see if it'll fit you and snap it up at a give-away price. These have been selling like hotcakes recently on eBay. Upwards of $300 for some.
It's marked a size 42. These are supposed to fit to stretch quite close over the torso so the measurements back up the label.
Chest: 21"
Length including ribbing: 22" (these were short sweaters, designed to stop at waist level)
Shoulder: 18"
Cuff Ribbing: 4"
Waistband Ribbing: 5"
£50 and it's yours. Shipping to be determined. check www.x-rates.com for exchange rates. No paypal. I can accept cheques in most currencies and bank transfers. PM with interest.
