Love them, especially the werewolves one. ;) And I could wear it in Los Angeles and not get shot because those gangs are probably and hopefully now defunct...

I really like the look on these, especially the crushers one. Has SJC ever made leather jackets before? Any reviews if so?

Yes, Black Grizzly ones a while ago. As far as I know the people who bought them didn't leave any feedback so far.

Some users here and over at the SJC have handled the current leather jacket samples including the gang jackets.

I've handled the gang jackets and even tried them on although they were small on me. I particularly like the Demons wool jacket with buttons, more my style.

Do you know if they fit small compared to his size chart? How thick and heavy was the wool on the wool jackets and the leather on the leather one?

I'm eager to see what it looks like on you! The more I look at them, the more I like the Demons one. The heavy wool, the button-up front, the design...

The demons jacket cut is actually my favorite. It's just a bit too in your face for me which is why I went with the crushers one.

Maybe it's me .......but I don't understand the attraction to this at all.

Not something I would wear, but I can see the attraction for others & love the SJC concept. I like my clothing plain without Demon patches etc..I like my flight jackets unadorned too :)

There are a number of things on this site that hit me that way. Discussions on living the golden era lifestyle come to mind when I'm not using a man-powered reel mower. :)

But it can still be interesting to see what interests others even though I can't get into it. C'est la vie!

Yes, Black Grizzly ones a while ago.

Not strictly true. There was ONE Grizzly - produced, I understand, for @Rivethead (Matt of Warpath Belts). The one I saw had back to front cuffs. Whether that was corrected, I don't know.

Other than that, all the prototypes of leather garments by SJC have come to nothing.

I'm sure he will succeed at some point in the future. But he still seems to be searching for a factory that will produce the quality he needs.

Will the "gang jackets" be the ones?

Who knows. Personally, I would wear a plain one - but certainly not with those designs on the back.

Hmmm:confused: I'm on the shelf about these jackets. The Werewolves image looks more like that awful Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde film staring Fredric March and the whole back panel is just a little to near MC outlaw bike club colours. I suppose younger guys may get away with the look but the over 50s?
The brown bike boots look nice though I have never really gone for this look on bikes, modern or older.

Mmm not exactly true. He sold more than one, basically because the minimum order was around 10 if I remember correctly. I know this because I personally asked him about them in person recently and more than one was sold.

They're out there. I believe you're refering to the brown samples we saw at the SJC forum that had the reversed cuffs. Those are not the same as the black ones that were sold.

As we often say on here - pics or it didn't happen. The only pics on the SJC site are the ones of Matt's jacket. The Grizzly's have NEVER appeared on his sales site. So how did he sell them? Telepathy? The jacket that WAS made was a sample - so it consisted of just ONE garment. No need to hit minimums.

Here is an example of SJC spin:

Three piece 1930 Suit
Delivery: September
Est. Price £640 (this is the best scenario with over 30 suits sold)
*Amended price after being told by cloth and UK tailoring companies that there is an Added Value Tax put on all items of 20%.
Any persons larger than a 46 chest 40 waist will be charged £30 for an extra meter of cloth.
Prices, deliveries and everything can change with additions to design (extra pockets etc), cloth, trim, buttons, etc (but this a good estimate).

Timeline: From ordering a sample to it being delivered six weeks, tweak sample site feedback etc two weeks, remake sample six weeks, final fitting & photoshoot two weeks. Live on site for four weeks. Suit ordered six weeks, one week delivery, 27 weeks - September

Now, that was posted on SJC in early 2015 - 18 months ago. Are we any nearer to seeing those garments that should have been on the streets in September last year?

As far as I can see, SJC is a spin operation. Talk for long enough about a garment, and the site members believe it.

You guys have spent THREE months discussing the name of a pair of trousers. Hello?

Maybe one day, it will come true. I hope it does.

But please don't tell me about stuff that has never been made......

There are many here on the lounge who ordered boots from SJC and have received them. There are also a few people here who have and wear jeans he produced...

The jeans have received nothing but rave reviews, from what I've seen. I'd have bought a pair myself, but they went on sale the day after I got three pairs of Gustins. My luck.

Aero leathers stocked the jeans.

They sold them all off in their recent "Grand Theft" sale, even though they were not theft stock, due to quality issues.

Denny had to mention specific faults in order to sell them.

As I understand, Aero have no plans to restock them.

And SJC don't stock them either!

That sounds like one good selling jean......

Interestingly, it is my understanding that Aero offered to make some Leather Jackets for SJC. He refused, preferring to use Indian factories.

So far, other than failed samples, not one production jacket has appeared......
