This is a nice set of tails. It is size 36 or maybe 37 which is why I picked it up. It is a little snug on me and I wear a 38 short.

I paid $25 for it plus tax so $30 plus ten buck shipping will do it and if the shipping is less I will throw the change in the box.

The tag inside says Fredrick and Nelson which is a Seattle store from way back in the day. They also sold Frango's candy for many years.

It looks like thirties or forties. The coat is not modern, so probably thirties or foties based on the lining, buttons etc. I don't know enough about the fine points of this style to identify any better.

The exterior is in good shape with no signs of wear. The lining is in good shape, but the armpits need a few stitches. The collar is Gros Grain. Is that spelled right?

The chest measures 20 inches across, the shoulders are 17 inches across, the sleeves are24 inches from shoulder to cuff outside, and 17 inches from armpit to cuff on the inside. I will be glad to give you any other measurements you would like.

I just figured someone out there might be wishing they could find one this small so I grabbed it.

As far as the pants, I have not hd much luck matching suits, only on occasion. But tuxedos are not so hard. A trip to your local vintage shop and a few trips out in the sunlight should score you a pair to match pretty damn closely.

FIrst respons on the forum can buy it. A pm, is helpful, but I will go with forum posts to keep track of who is first. I have been doing a little construction tonight, so cut me some slack.

Got it in hand, it's got an NRA label! FITS PERFECTLY.

A lint roller and a good press and I'll be set.

Thanks, Mateo!

I must have looked right at the nra label and not thought much about it.

Do you have a shirt and collar. I used to. The collar was a birthday gift from Roberto. BUt I have no idea what happened to it.

I have a collar, but I've been looking - for just about as long - to find an inexpensive waffle-pique bib-front shirt. I've come across a few once or twice, but they were either the wrong size or I had missed my chance to grab them.

They are not quite popular enough for the bintage shops to bother with I gues.

If you get one too big, you could probalby have it take in in the back. It wouldn't have to be a great job as it would never show.

the vests aren't so hard to find. I have a pique and also a courderoy one.

Never worn either though.

The sleeve lining is indeed striped, one single row of red stiching closely spaced between two black, and another widely spaced black single between the next set of 3.
