Any in the wild photos of the SB Duroval being worn? Im thinking about picking one of these up or maybe a longer modified Drifter.

And any recent order experiences in the past year?? I bought two coats from them a while back before the drama went down and the craftsmanship was excellent. Just want to make sure nothing changed on that side.

Don't think I have ever seen a Duroval presented here at the forum. The craftmanship should still be good though, it's still the same ex-Aero workers after all, unless I am very mistaken. If you go for a SB, I would recommend the Horween Bison Leather, they have it on a 20% discount and once broken in, it looks quite spectacularly grainy. Also, quite the bargain if you don't mind the whole SB/Aero drama (not judging, especially since Aero offers no Duroval style).

I could care less what the "branding" label says. I'm paying for the horween leather / handmade construction / and customization / fit.

Much different from say sneakers/tennis shoes where you pay 90% for the Nike symbol, and 10% materials. In that case, if Nike became "Acme Sneakers", then I would look elseware.

Back to the main point. Looking for recent purchase feedback and preferably photos of Duroval / Drifter being worn

Why is it that people come on to the Lounge and say "I could(n't) care less about the maker"? Do they not get it: this is exactly what this place is about - it's about 'joining the dots' between the garments and who make them, the time they spend designing them, sourcing materials, and making them to the absolute best of their abilities. but also the customer service and honesty that comes behind it.
Look at the current SJC thread, look at the time and effort Simon has put in, working contributors to his forum, to create some fantastic items. To say 'I could care less what the branding on the label is' is to miss the point completely.

Because I'm only concerned with the actual "jacket" product. Not what 10 cent brand label is stiched into it to make me feel "special". I have jackets from various makers that are all on the same quality level, and if I removed the labels I wouldn't know which is which. Some of you guys on here sound like old women with your gossip and preaching brand loyalty / fan boyishness. Makes me laugh sometimes, but to each his own.

Please keep this thread on topic. Not another brand vs brand. I have no interest in that

I suspect eventually the quality and competitive pricing of Alexander leathers jackets will begin to win people over on this site. The product is too good and the price too right to simply dismiss them.

But I will admit that the tenured folks here are much more into the community of these jackets and stuff then I am, I'm really just looking for a good quality jacket like the OP, and I come here to gather some good info before a purchase or get opinions on fit etc...

Again, missing the point by a country mile and shows a fundamental misunderstanding of what AL/SB/BB represent on the Lounge: plagiarized patterns, taken by a convicted thief, who colluded with others to try and put try and put his employer out of business. That's a tarnish-and-a-half and not something that will be passed over lightly.

You're just a fanboy @Sloan1874
Why else would you say such things. LOL
These guys always digress into name calling rather quickly while coming in while attempting to feign a superior, nonjudgmental sensibility.
Very much a tired MO by now.

Don't come into a community and try to change it is a good rule of thumb.
But then again, these makers always seem to attract some of their own fanboys to come in and do their bidding.

I wasn't talking about the name itself... I was referring to the reason for the name change...
