Silk scarf

Got this last week on a trip to Whitby/ Harrogate from a charity(thrift) shop, it's 100% silk made br ARIS, second picture gives true colour... as new with no tears fraying or fading for a whole English pound!

Not long ago, my wife and I were dropping some things off at one such place, and I took a glance at a rack where everything was priced at $1. I immediately spotted a nice tweed jacket, and it looked like my size. Turned out to be lambswool, probably by Magee, excellent tailoring details, very tight weave and long fibers, like new with no sign of having been worn at all. When I tried it on, it was a perfect fit - needed nothing done.

That was my most spectacular find. I still have no idea why they marked it at one dollar. Rather a matter of diligence or luck, usually the latter in my case!
