I've been intrigued by some of the recent posts about natural (undyed) leather. Seeing a few that natural vicenza Aero jackets that Thurston has listed on eBay, I'm curious to see examples that have aged a few years. The new jackets look like a pallid white guy, and I think I would feel weirdly "naked" wearing one, just like you do when you wear a skin-colored bathing suit. But it'd be interesting to see what they turn into. So post your pics below. If you have a "new" pic to compare with the "aged" so much the better.

I think your best bet will be to look for some of the Japanese brands online pictures. The natural hides seem to be a newer trend here. The thing to keep in mind is they take REALLY nice pictures that probably don't translate accurately to how they look in the wild.

You may be right... got any links in particular that I should check out?

I much prefer the beige/cream tones to the orange tones. I'd love to see a non-evolution cream tone leather that just stays more or less its original color. I have an Aero Hippie jacket in an orange like that.

I think a lot has to do with the tanning of the leather. Tenjinworks puts out some incredible stuff including a natural leather D-pocket...and some oddities like natural leather overalls. Their wallets are just awesome, and someday maybe I'll go for something in the green or blue :)

That's probably the best one I've seen yet. I am wondering what the factors are that cause the color to change. Ultraviolet light? Oxidation? Oils? Dirt?
Probably uv radiation (sun). I remember when I visited Gala, Denny showed me a roll of natural leather. It was left unintentionally under sunlight with an A4 paper on it. After 2-3 days when they removed the paper - the difference was visible.

I don't have a jacket but do have a belt and a wallet that were completely undyed. They are now the most lovely shade of aged. I'll post photos in the next day or so.

Denham offered the Danilo leather jacket in 2013. It's made from a vegetable tanned leather, but it looks like it's got a bit more colour than the other pieces in this thread, so it might have been dyed.

I've never seen a worn-in example, in fact there's precious little information on the web about it, other than a posting at Google Plus, and a photo in an article at Rawr Denim / Heddels.

I found one at the Denham store in Amsterdam, and it was a nice piece. The pocket bags and buttons are leather. Unfortunately it didn't fit, I was a bit fatter back then.

Given the OP asked to see examples of members jackets and instead what we've got is a bunch of product/makers images can we surmise that whilst this leather is appreciated it is rarely purchased?

I've got a few items I'll try to take pics of. I think I have some natural RRL boots that I took before/after pics of.
Needless to say, it's really nice - just the initial time it takes, which isn't long. Also, yes, sun and some light treatments help a ton. I have a belt and wallet I'm using now that are natural, and the A-1 idea from A-1 and some recent pics here have me thinking that it would be the next big thing and what I want to do as well...a natural jacket, that is.

I am interested in any photos, but jackets personally owned by members are preferred, since they know the history and specifications of the jacket.

I double checked, and my Schott-Context CX113 is natural Horween CXL, and it's now about 3 years old. It's darkened somewhat, but it's a different color brown from the others I've seen in this thread, with a less warm looking brown. (Still looks amazing, just not a reddish brown) Of course, it also didn't look like these other examples did to start with. But I'm sure that's due to the difference between CXL and vegetable tanning.
