Thank you. When I was a kid, we went from a Station Wagon, to a Mini-Van, to a SUV as most families did. I hated the mini-van and was no fan of the SUV but always loved that wagon. Now, I have two of them and having my newest one has been a blast at work. Everyone stops to tell me how much they love the car and memories they have of wagons that their parents, grandparents, etc had when they were young. Warms the heart, ya know?

I've got to say, Tom... nice couple of station wagons. They always strike me as the less-trashy, more efficient little brother to today's overused SUV. I'm partial to that type of car, since my love my 2000 Subaru Outback so much. (No need to post a picture, these cars are more common than quarters in a soda machine!) Too bad they weren't made in the '40s; I bet better than half of them could still be running.

In my case, the station wagon used to belong to my grandmother before it became mine (or, my family's but assigned to me.) Built-in family memories to go with your wheels... can't go wrong there!

My parents had a '73 Malibu wagon. I learned to drive, and took my road test in that car. Perfect parallel parked it, too.

My dad took his in his 1966 Caprice wagon, which he bought from his folks.

In Paris, people are crazy behind the wheel. :eeek: Place de l'Etoile is a perfect example.
That's why I chose a motorbike. It's more faster and thin to avoid problems.
For my days off I have another one. It's my baby .



When I was a kid, the Gendarmerie Nationale had this model.

Great motorcycle, I wish I could find a 70s Airhead! Have fun ridding. Always like to watch the beginning of Steve McQueen's Le Mans, when the Gendarmerie are all starting their BMWs, and the one poor guy who's bike wouldn't start.

Here is a picture of my 1957 Chrysler. Got it from the original owner and it has the original paint. It is not perfect, but it is only original once!

I really like those Forward Look MoPars and you're only the second owner and that's the original paint?! That's like winning the lottery.

Love the 'Vette, too. That 60's body style has always been my favorite for them. Beautiful cars, absolutely beautiful cars.

Thanks for the kind words on the cars. Yes indeed, the Forward Look era of Mopar (1955-1961) was great! The Chrysler is a 354ci with the 3 speed push button automatic and the Vette is a 327ci with a Powerglide automatic. The auto in the vette is a bit of a drag, but it does have factory A/C, so that makes up for it I suspect......

I love those push buttons that MoPar had, not to mention the mirror on the dashboard. My great-grandpa had a 59 Dodge Interceptor, they don't build 'em like that anymore.

I have a lot of experience with the 327 (and small blocks in general) and had a 2 speed Powerglide in my 60 Bel-Air and in my 63 Impala. It's a dog of a tranny stock, but I hear they are really good if built up for drag racing.

My favorite style Corvette. Especially the 1963 split back, which was only made that year.

The 63 Split window is my holy grail of 'Vettes. I REALLY want one in my driveway!

This was probably my favorite of the cars I have owned, but unfortunately I had to sell it earlier this year for something more practical (and that could accommodate my kayak). Beautiful car with classic Jaguar styling and a supercharged V8 that could leave the Japanese cars with the oversized mufflers wondering what just happened at the stoplights.
