Two more arrived today from Etsy.

And for $4 I snagged this clip on bow tie. I'd never wear a clip on necktie and for a while I felt the same about clip on bow ties but I figure if they had them back then, they're legit. Plus most of these cool art deco patterns are clip on.

That Towncraft tie is GRAND! Can not wait to see it worn about. Congrats.

Bought this recently. Came in the mail this morning.
I would date this between 1963-1965, because of the Sears logo, and the style and colors of this tie.

I recall my father wearing a tie similar in the late 60's. Lovely.

Best, Eric -

I had a bit
DSCN5455 by Michael A2012, on Flickr
of this one showing while I was out bicycling around town today.
DSCN5465 crop by Michael A2012, on Flickr
I thought it was unlabeled, but when I was adjusting my sweater after wearing it for a couple of hours the label fell out onto the floor. 100% Rayon, Fidelity Cravats by Steber. Must have been stuffed up inside the tie.

While I was out I found these.

The top one is a relatively modern Polo 100% Wool.
The middle is hard to make out, but I think it says Truot Cavalier of Louisville. It has a patent number which dates to 1948.
The bottom is Made and Styled in California for Penney's.
Each has some issues, but after a long dry spell I was happy to find anything vintage in the tie world.

Nice finds Michael! Especially the quail one. That's a real beauty!

Been pretty sparse pickings around here for a good while, too.

Thanks Bob and Dale.

They do seem to show up in streaks. Hopefully this is the beginning of one and not the end of one that I missed. Ha ha. The quail one is pretty cool. Sadly it has a bit of a bite out of it's edge, which can be seen in the last photo. The patent on the square bottomed one claims the construction method holds the interfacing in place so that it can be washed without damage. I'm tempted to try that out, as it's rather filthy.

Thanks,
Michael
