I bet it feels allot faster when on something like that, and I suppose any speed you can't run is too fast when the bike starts to fall apart.

Since my last pic I have fitted new Norman Hyde M bars to my dear Ruby, vintage style brown barrel grips, and a Benji headlight bucket which allows the speedometer and warning lights to be integrated with the headlight. I was inspired by the look of the 6T Triumphs and early Bonnevilles. I have to grind down a couple of star nuts in order to mount my bar end mirrors, but I like the new look and feel so far.

Ok then These are some of my bikes ...

all boxer-rides have been rebuild/customized partly by myself during my 7 years-work in China

base of all of them is a chinese manufactured so called "Chang Jiang 750" which is a knock off of the vintage R71 Bimmer

my first custom Project in China - CJ750 with 16" HD rims and 5.00 x 16 tyres, fabbed seat `n floorboard brackets and some more Details




2nd rig is my WW2 BMW R75 repop sidecar - also with 16 " wheels / tyres - i use the ride for reenacting




no. 3 is my "El Diablo" solo bike which already made into 3 international bike magazines and was invited to 3 international bike-exhibitions




no. 4 is a heavily modified sidecar-hack with lowered sidecar bucket, also HD wheels, ...




i brought all of them with me to Germany but due to lack of time they are sitting in my shed since then waitin' for Registration

Here is mine, a lowly Peugeot TL4 from 1956, got it for its looks, not its performances. Fun ride!

Nice! Do you have pictures showing the whole bike?

Not much to see, no engine, the tanks are off, all the controls, floorboards, and seat. I just got some of this on, to get it out of the way. I am going full bore on my 35 Harley VL Bobber.

I have been scouring the world for an oil switch for my 37 WLD, it is a one year only for the 45 and two year for the Knucklehead. Lone behold, I found one right in my back yard, and a friend at that. He had two, one for his 37 Knucklehead project, and one for a Servi-Car he sold. Even at the Good Guy price it was not cheep, but, it will make the dash! I also got an AMP meter. Now I have to get some replacement glass for the Skull dash.

Here is my latest! A 1973 BMW R75/5 Toastertank. Looks a little forlorn in this shot. I am replacing the Cheng Shin Knobby tires that it was wearing. Who was dumb enough to put those on? Absolutely the scariest street tires ever!

I really like the look of those Chinese bikes, they've got that vintage BMW look perfectly. I used to know a guy who was buying them from the army still in the crates they were delivered from the factory in (command economy=army has more bikes in storage than it can use), but it always seemed like they weren't to reliable. I dunno, maybe that's an accurate degree of unreliability for a 30's design?
