Is that the 640? I kick myself for not picking one of those up years ago when I had the chance too. I settled for a 442 with the stainless finish instead since I was carrying it for uniform back up. Then they dropped it in the 38 special and made it in .357 Magnum, but it just doesn't feel the same with the longer heavy barrel. I occasionally see one on the used market but the price tag has been 650 and up. The Centennial models are in my humble opinion some of the best deep concealment weapons ever made.

If $$$$ is tight, you might want to look at the Ruger LCR. I believe it's every bit as good if not better in some ways, and the price is right. Also comes in .22lr , .22wmr , .38 + P and .357.

I think this S&W model 629-1 is a 1987. The manual and warranty papers all have 1987 on them. It has the 8 3/8 inch barrel.

It's hard to get good photos of rifles but I made an effort on this Winchester Model 94 that I have.

During the first part of September in 1996 Colt sent me a sales catalog. I looked through it for several days. The largest one in it was the Anaconda. I started having dreams about that revolver and knew I had to have one. So the first of October I took that catalog to my local gun store and asked did they have one. They didn't but said they could order me one. So on October 9th 1996 I took possession of my dream. I still haven't fired it yet.

Speaking of Colt, it looks like they are getting back in the snub nose revolver market again. This is listed on their website for 2017.

No. I've never even put a cartridge in it. I've got several guns I bought new that I've never fired. I guess I'm a little quirky, but some I bought just for collecting and others for shooting.

Agree, back in 2004 I came across two 1894-1994 Winchester Mod 94 centennial commerative rifles. They have half octagon half round barrels, 24 or 26 inch, 26 I think but am not sure right now, roll engraving on receiver of woodland game scene, button magazine, only holds three rounds, very high grade wood, crescent buttplate, and Lyman tang sights. I bought one, then had second thoughts and went back and picked up the other. I have shot one using cast bullets , and find them very accurate. I wish one was in 38-55 instead of 30-30 but still they are nice rifles, lightweight, handle and point more like a shotgun than most rifles.
