JSG, what do you go by on Parallax's site? I moderate over at Surplus Rifle, DeaconKC there too.
I visit "surplus rifle" time to time too. I'm known there and on P'Bill's (and on a number of other gun forums as well) as 'nothernug.JSG, what do you go by on Parallax's site? I moderate over at Surplus Rifle, DeaconKC there too.
My father had one of those, and a 4"barrel model. I could really shoot and hit good with that stubbie. I told him if he ever wanted to get rid of it to let me buy it. He forgot and sold it to a man who worked for him. After dad, then mom died I did get the 4" model, but still wish it were the 2" stubbie.
This followed me home today....A 1948 S&W M&P....time to order another Tyler T-Grip.
I'd be happy with either of those models though my current inclination is for a 3" barrel, should I ever find one.
I know what you mean about finding a 3 inch barrel. They do seem to have become scarce. These are two model 65's. The 4 inch one was my original service revolver that I was issued. In 1991 my department went to the 40 S&W model 4046. They then let us, or those of us who wanted too, to buy back their old service revolvers. At the time of the transition, patrol was issued either a nickel plated model 10, a model 64, or the model 65. Investigators and command staff had the 2 1/2 inch model 66's and vice had model 49's. The standard ammo was the Winchester 158 grain +P lead hollow points. I love the 3 inch barrel. It points and balances very nicely.

A Chief's Special is easier to carry and hide, but it doesn't beat a Model 10 (or M&P, M-12, etc.) snubby in the hand.

Sounds like he means to keep us rowdies in line, the whip and chair method obviously came up short. Is this a hint we should all behave ourselves around you, Kirk?
Good little weapon.Just bought one of these little pocket rockets, I'm happy with it.
