LD- that dress is beautiful and I love the fabric. That may be a 20's style I could actually wear.
AuroraFisherman- That dress does have a 30's vibe. I love it.
Jenniferose7- Great work. I love all of your creations and the romper photo is adorable.

And lastly- Thanks for the compliments everyone. :)

For my first dressmaking project, I chose a 1940's high waisted swing trouser style pattern. And blimey, it was tough! It says 'very easy' on the pattern, but I'll be damned! lol.

Pictures to follow when they're dry and turned up at the bottoms hehe!

Here's a variation on that Vintage Pattern Lending Library pattern that I used for the cherries dress.

Just looking through all the pictures I am so jealous of all the beautiful clothing you ladies have been making! I haven't sewn any clothing for a while and other than a couple sample tuba covers for the high school band this is what I have recently made. Actually I made all three of these (the boy, the blanket and the pillow) lol today I made a little blue throw pillow to go with a new quilt I bought. :D

Finished one of my last 20s dresses for a while.
I really like how it turned out.

The illustrations for this patterns are so cute and informative, you hardly need instructions!
Your version fits you and suits you well.
I wonder about the ties, if most gals would have tied them or left them flapping?
I like how simply designed these dresses are but somehow, for me, the straight up and down 20's
silhouette misses my good points and emphasizes the worst!
