That is fantastic. Great to have a picture of your forefather(s). The hat-thing seems to run in the family; he wears it with flair.

View attachment 81991 There is just "something" about the way this works on Bruce Willis. Is it over sized for him, does he wear it too low, is the crown higher than most..... I loved this movie basically for the "hat". The movie itself, a bit of a stretch ALL around.
Looks like a typical 1930s style soft felt hat
very much like the Stetson Standard Quality hats in that style

Thanks Moon, I really don't have the $ to get into large collections, I had Art do me one a few years ago. I really think it's the ribbon. Art used older cotton/rayon blend 2" and I have some 2 1/4" rayon/poly that laid over top this evening just for a hunch and yeah, that 1/4" kind of "tightens" things up considerable like!

I actually loved this film as a kid growing up! It is simply a retelling of the old samurai tale Yojimbo set during one of my favorite periods in American history. Fistful of Dollars is another famous Yojimbo remake. There were some decent performances in the film and I really enjoyed the soundtrack in Last Man Standing.
