I'm going to order a pair of Oxford pants be Magnoli, but I'm not quite satisfied with the pocket flaps, so I thought it would be great if you could show me pics of your 1930s or 1940s pants whith the flaps to get some inspiration!

Regards,
Henrik

From a pair of 1930s cream oxford bags. This is the back pocket flap.

They were much more into scallops and curves back then.

Yes, I noticed that too. Can't but help associating western suits with the more pronounced varieties.

nope, i believe it's made by hollister. Picked up in the Goodwill. I'll say this for pseudo-surf stores: They make things in small sizes. that's about all i can say for those stores, but they're the only ones who go below 40 chest.

I had a few Hollister shirts, too. I can never find vintage shirts.
Where do you find most of your vintage pants, BK?

I did it eeeeeeBay! (sorry, crappy ad for eBay a couple years back).

I don't have many vintage odd trousers. Those i do have have mainly been eBay purchases. I found one pair in a Goodwill, next to a pair i sold here in the classifieds. That Goodwill has had one more pair, but they were pretty messy.

I see- It just seems like there should be more vintage trousers in our size...but alas, not many. Most of mine are new but have a higher rise.
Actually, all of my jeans come from Hollister- I like their vintage cut with the button fly.

problem is that i don't actually have many vintage stores in town (only one, and i've not been to it yet - relatively newly opened). So i'm dependent upon thrifts, which very rarely have anything decent. And then eBay which always has great 40s/50s trousers in the smaller waist sizes. And travelling. I usually find decent vintage stores when i travel. Outside big cities, these are usually reasonably priced.
