can you add a cuff to it, and replace the zip with a long one, cut sleeve jacket is not automatically a vest, I think a vest designed to be worn as mid layer has narrower shoulder
aaaand to me 70% of the allure to wear my leather jacket is running my hand through the ripples of my sleeve and looking at them has similar effect like staring at dancing flame or clouds.:D

Figured I got enough votes to make up my mind so... Done. I simply cut the sleeves off, didn't want to bother with removing stitching as I have no clue if the epaulets would fall off then and I didn't want to risk that happening AND if I'm already doing something like that, removing sleeves off a Perfecto, being fussy and careful about felt kind of insulting. Unexpected bonus is that the collar snaps are holding the lining in place which is good as I don't have to remove it now AND it doesn't stick out of the vest. I might get rid of it in the future, though. Will see. All in all, it's done. Head over to WJAYWT for fit pics and thanks y'all!

Oh, and check out the tannery logo on the inside! It's stamped at a coupla places.

Adding length to the sleeves would be too costly and pointless, really as I already have a perfectly fitting Perfecto. I took the jacket to a leather tailor today and we did discover it's been altered and badly at that. Whoever altered the jacket used the original zippers, just moved them up. A good 4" + has been shaved off 'em. I didn't notice it yesterday evening but yeah, for all intents and purposes, the jacket didn't have sleeves to begin with.

As for the creases, that's the 80's Schott so it wouldn't ever have gotten kool kreases so no harm done there. Really, I think this jacket was now revived and saved.
