shopping trip

Went on my first trip dedicated to finding vintage goodies. Arrg!! The first store I went to closed earlier than it was supposed to, so while I was looking through stockings and such they turned the lights off to let people know it was time to go. (people as in just me and the children). The second store was full of 60s and 70s clothing. So was the first one; at least the part of the store that I had a chance to browse through. Have to go back tomorrow and finish looking around the first store.
Today was almost disheartening!

Don´t loose patience. Sometimes there is just nothing around... and than you find a whole bunch of the prettiest stuff around in exactly your size.

Yep, it's luck. You have to trawl everywhere, all the time.

My motto is: Keep your eyes peeled at all times - you never know where something might turn up!

Keep your chin up! That was rude of the shop owner, I guess they didn't want to make a sale, eh?

Unfortunately, it always seems to happen that you find TONS of great stuff when your pocketbook is empty.. at least with me, lol!

Yeah, it was drawers that the had the stockings in, I was having fun looking at them...and actually quite inexpensive, cheaper than todays panty hose.

I don't know why I never pick up stockings, myself... I seem to always have my eye out for a new hat. I suppose it is because I can buy stockings new. I think I am afraid of ruining a pair of vintage... so I just don't get them. I feel like I would be killing them (as though the stockings were a person) if I got a run in them.
