Shoe Shine brushes

I have several old (presumable very old) shoe shine brushes that i inherited from my great grand father. they are extremely nice horsehair, and i would like to add to my collection of brushes.

one of the shiners says "USMC 101" (Black brush)
the other shiner says "USMC 100)" (Brown brush)

the applicator says "USMC 10"

does anyone know if/where these can possible be procured? i assume the USMC has a very high standard for footwear care products.

also, any other high quality suggestions? the applicators i have i am not very happy with because the horsehair keeps coming out strand by strand.

I have no idea if these are the same brushes you are looking for. They doesn't seem to have the numbers on them. The brushes in this kit are your basic Kiwi shoe shine brushes. I use them and am very happy with them. http://www.semperfimariness.com/usmc_shoeshinekit.html .

i saw that kis as well and they aren't the same. But you like the regular kiwi brushes? thanks for the tip!

They may be United Shoe Machinery Company brushes.
