I have to confess, I stopped wearing fedoras probably about 8 years ago. Changing interests, frustration with my odd head shape, several house moves, all contributed to the stoppage.
In the meantime, I've crossed into my early 60s and am a new grandfather. A few weeks ago I pulled down a really smart Stetson from the late 40s and tried it on in a mirror. GASP! I look like someone's grandfather! Hats add ten years to my face now. I may be grandpa, but I'm not ready to feel like or look like I'm past 70. It's bad enough to find neck wrinkles and a newly bum leg.
So they'll stay in their fancy boxes now, until I'm in a spot to pass them to you young looking fellows who can pull them off.

I'm a 64 year old grandpa.
Lovin' every minute of it ! Not letting my age get in the way.

Sounds like you got some lonely hats. Shame.....I've got a lonely head....
