hey- I decided to pull the trigger and get myself some vintage shirts. All my shirts that I've been wearing have been from costco- hardly vintage or vintage looking. So I was browsing ebay, and found these two. Figured that for the price, I'd give them a shot. They were both buy it now. The first one was 10 bucks, the second was 4.

so- how old do you think these are?
I know the first one's postwar, since it's Orlon, and the second one's from between 1945 and 1959, because that's when Ohrbach's was in LA.

The brown one came today. The sleeves are much too short, but the rest fits perfectly. I'll just roll them up.
Love that collar!

It also looks nice with the top button unbuttoned. It has a nice wiiiiiide spread then.

It's Acrylic.

The other ones came today.
They both fit, but the ohrbachs one has so many holes and patches that I'm not going to be able to wear it.

Too bad about that, the perils of buying clothes you can't touch. Forgot to say in my earlier post that hat looks absolutely killer with the shirt and tie! Curious, did you add that ribbon or was it original equipment? Fabulous combo all around!
