I would like a hatter or a way in which I could shape the dip on the sides inwards to be more pronounced so the flare at the top would be more visible. I know before the creation of fedoras hatters used to be able to do this even after the beaver top hat was made. I just need to learn or for someone to do it for me. thank you.
This is the hat I want to do it on.

I agree. I wouldn't modify a great hat like that--the proportions are just about perfect now. Any more flare and you'll look like the Mad Hatter or somebody in Victorian costume. Not that there's anything wrong with that if it's what you're going for, but there are other hats out there that have those proportions built in.

I've seen morning coats with top hats and sometimes stoller jackets with top hats instead of homburgs. Do you think this would go well with a stroller jacket? I've heard the whole height sets of the balance of the shortness of the jacket......ect, sometimes thats true but sometimes it works well.

I think a top hat with a stroller would look out of place. The topper's gravitas is only really complemented, in my opinion, by a morning coat or tailcoat. If you're going to wear a stroller, probably better stick with a bowler/derby or homburg.

Is it Beaver or Silk?

The picture is fuzzy, but looks shiny antique silk plush - So What I think you are asking is to re block the shape ? To make the Bell shape more pronounced into a Wellington style?

If so - then sorry can't be done, What you would need to do is create a new shell - even if you did create a new shell, the silk material wouldn't fit back over it when refurb'ing.

Even if it was a solid beaver - it could be reblocked, but you would need a new 5-piece block and brim set to the design and shape you want. In that case if easier to just make a new one..
