I work in an office where the dress code is decidedly casual, which isn't all bad considering the unholy hours that a lot of our staff puts in. Many of the guys wear baseball caps with their favorite teams, again not all bad as many of us are big fans of our favorite teams.
But I decided to set a new standard at the office this past week. We've been working on a major competitive proposal for the past several weeks, and 7-day weeks and long hours have been pretty much the norm. I had recently taken delivery of a new Homburg from Christy's of London and decided to debut it in public by wearing it at the office. One of the guys started to tease me until I let loose on the poor excuse of a baseball cap he was currently wearing (poor mostly because of his team. . . ) Anyway, he quickly agreed that almost anything was better than a baseball cap, and my Homburg was really quite classy.
Now if the temperatures would just drop below 90!
