Sequel's You Wished for but Never Got....

I know it's pretty rare given Hollywood's total berefment of original thinking and love of sequels, but I'm amazed that some movies that were brilliant AND profitable, never got the sequel treatment. Here's some I'd like to have seen:

"Spaceballs 2" - The first was lowbrow but it was pretty darn funny.

"History of the World Part Deux" - Why show me a teaser for this sequel and never deliver. Needs to be made and should've been made.

Sequels I'd like to see:

"Let the Right One In... Again" - It'd be nice to see how the young boy keeps his vampire honey supplied with blood.

"They Live... In the House Next Door!" - I'd like to see how earth fared and the revolution proceeded against the skullfaces.

"Return to Salem's Lot" - Govt realizes that vamps exist and feels "The Lot" is the perfect place to dispose of undesirables without a trace. Of course things go horribly wrong.

"Galaxy Quest II - Journey to Sigorney's Boobs" - You figure it out.

These are just what I could think of off the top of my pointy little haid. What else you fine folks got to give?

I wish there had been a sequel to "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" with the three of them running a con.
I might be the only person that wanted a follow up to "Jake Speed".

I seem to have liked the 2004 Troy film more than many. I REALLY wanted them to make some kind of sequel of The Odyssey: I thought Sean Bean was a great Odysseus.

Agreed, I'd figured we'd have had a "United Space Forces" ready to meet the next threat. With all that prize alien tech laying around we should've had a fine spiffy Space Force by the time the sequel rolled around.
