Selling mouton collared CLX Bootlegger

Parting with this one hurts.. it is what I considered my grail jacket at a time and still consider the best possible Bootlegger variation. Unfortunately after wearing it for a few weeks, summer came, I lost almost 30 lbs and now it fits like a rag on me. Therefore selling it. It has the usual signs of wear on a CLX jacket with a few weeks wear in, mostly slight loss of the hides initial sheen and a few signs of wear in the leather on sleeves and around zips.

It features:
CLX Steerhide
Cozy moleskin lining
Natural Mouton Collar
2x Inside Pocket no snaps
Zipsleeves for more tapered fit at the wrist
Chest pocket positioned lower and at a different angle for better access (it‘s super awkward and utterly useless on the standard version)

All this cost me roughly 850 GBP or 1000€. I am selling the jacket for half of that, 500€. Won‘t get a better Bootlegger for any money and certainly no cheaper one in comparable condition.

Labeled 38, actual measurements put it closer to a 42 though:
Shoulders: 47cm
PTP:59cm
Bottomhem:50cm (very tapered jacket)
Backlength:65cm
Sleevelength: 66cm around the curve the TFL way, 63 cm straight down the Aero way.

great jacket, GLWS. In retrospection and from the point of view of an objective observer, I buy too much the last couple of weeks and thus really should slow down to get more wear on potential keepers, but this is pretty tempting...

@TooManyHatsOnlyOneHead Your size, but what you gonna do with that mouton collar in SoCal? LOL
LOL I know, right? I just bought a C3 vest too. I'm nuts. Subconsciously I think I'm preparing to move to Alaska. The neighbors love what I do to the property values though as I walk around in the back yard wearing boxer shorts and shearling jackets and vests.

Seriously that's a cool jacket, now I wish my BL didn't have the western yoke as the simple half belt design looks cleaner. I had to look up that C3 vest, that's quite a unit lol it's all good it adds more fun to the neighborhood haha

yeah there seem to be a lot of variances on the back design of the BL. Usually I didn't like them because ones I've seen have the action back. But every once in a while one catches my eye. Always liked what you did with yours by adding the mutton collar.

From my experience so far, having no action back/gussets means more p2p required to have appropriate range of motion. For example, on my HBD with the two lateral gussets I get away with 22.2 where in a previous plain back jacket with similarly cut armholes that did not work for me. Pretty obvious and old news for you more experienced guys, but this was part of my learning curve.

Yeah, that‘s my experience too. Jackets with underarm and or back gussets I can go down atleast one inch in ptp. As for this jackets back design, I picked the plain back because I wanted a clean look and in my personal experience. the Aero gussets don‘t do nothing anyway, all looks with no real benefit functionality-wise.

Duo to wide demand, current fit pictures.

I am 176cm, 71kg here, the jacket is a very wearable relaxed fit, not as snug as I like it though. I slightly overspec‘d the sleeve length, it‘s wearable for me, probably best on someone a bit taller than me. I liked the fit much better when I was 80kg and filled it better, especially in the back.

^^ Looks really good from the front, a touch roomy in back. I have had simlar issues with half-belts and other styles. Still very nice on you there and over 95% of the general population would never notice. Keep it and wear a backpack. :)

Dang I got all excited about this and then I did the CM to Inches conversions. P2P way to big for me. GLWS! It’s beautiful.

Fit looks pretty good to me, but of course its a very personal preference. I tend to like a bit larger for easier flexibility while driving etc. Great looking bootlegger!
