Selection of one (similar) leather color for jacket and shoes/boots.

Maybe I have a strange addiction or I am especially old-fashioned, but I prefer to combine jackets and boots of the same color.
It is relatively easy to choose black items. But it is very difficult to find a jacket and boots of any other very similar color and quality of leather.

Just one personal example. I found only one jacket manufacturer that makes the model of jacket I need. This manufacturer has a limited (small) assortment of leather, which in principle suits me. I want a dark brown leather color. But firstly, in our time, such a color designation can mean a huge variety of shades. And secondly, it can be difficult to find good photos of things of a particular color/shade. In short, I cannot determine the similarities between =Aero leathers= and =Nicks boots= leathers.

Surely there are people in the same search or with good results from past searches.
If many people will share such their experiences in one place (here for example) it may be useful for many other people.

Show your combination of jacket and shoes/boots in the same color. The information about the full names of brands and models and leather types is very useful.

P.S.
I have not been able to find such a discussion. If this is already being discussed somewhere then point me to please.

Quite a few threads on the matter already have been made already, though not very recently.

Though I am still not entirely sure how I feel about matching, the one time anything that I have ever worn produced a truly negative, almost disgusted reaction (and by an attractive girl, no less) was when I matched CXL cordovan jacket with CXL cordovan boots. I felt particularly crappy about it because I thought I was dressed so well. I know, I know, it's subjective and all but it's just something that stuck with me. . .

I'm not sure whether this has any merit since there are color differences between batches. Also, there are color differences between individual hides. A type of boot from one maker that matches a jacket from another maker today, does not necessarily match tomorrow.

I don't find it that exciting when shoes and jacket are the same shade (black excluded).
Personally, I like it better when there is a contrast.
I am surprised by my Red Wing Moc Toe 875 in Oro Legacy leather. These really go with everything...at least the jackets and pants I own. lol
A very versatile color in shoes.

I couldn't agree more.

I think 'matching' different colors makes a much more playful overall look.

Yes, anything is possible. Searching is not always easy.
I do, sometimes...
In this case, the focus with lighting does not allow me to appreciate the similarity of colors, unfortunately.

So much for the idea that cordovan goes well with anything. Or perhaps it goes well with anything except more cordovan!
I sometimes try to match boots and jackets but usually I just put on whatever I really want to wear that day whether it matches or not.

I'm my head it comes down to what you're wearing. I wouldn't wear brown shoes with a black tuxedo, but I will wear a black leather jacket with brown boots or vice-versa. Leather jackets are (mostly) informal wear, and therefore some fashion rules can be bent/broken.
In the end its up to you the wearer... if you want to be 100% match.. go for it. (but as was said above, there are alot of shades of brown)

Also you can find panels with different texture, grain and even colour within the same jacket or boot.

For some reason colour 8 is the only colour my girlfriend dislikes; earlier this month I received my first ever cordovan colour jacket and immediately after unboxing I sent the photo's below to her; just to show her what a great colour my new jacket is. She replied: "I hate it".

Oh man! That is a beautiful coat! Was it truly the color that bothered her, or was it the size and scale of the jacket?

She literally frowned and said "...wait, are your shoes and jacket the same color!?". Fairly certain it wasn't me 'cause she only noticed it the next morning, as we were getting dressed for work.

I had the other comment once, as in "you did not match your jacket to your shoes?!"

So who knows? lol

I like to have some contrst of some sort, red and black, navy and burgundy, etc.

And if going for the same colour, then play with the shades maybe, or the textures

Sometimes this is treated by buying a woman the same thing from the same material ))
P.S. Very good photos and good jacket. But now I know for sure that I don't like Cordovan either.
