Seeking some info about my MA-1 jacket

I picked up this Alpha Industries jacket today at a thrift store ($7). Standard olive color and reversible with orange lining. Fits great, minor pilling on the knits. Just wondering what you guys can tell me about it based on the interior tags.

I'm guessing it's not too old because the interior tag appears to be nylon rather than cloth, and there is a rather obnoxious Alpha Industries logo embroidered on the upper wind flap. The logo is also on a small tag on the exterior of the left sleeve pocket. The zipper is branded Alpha.

Was this one actually made in the USA? I've seen other Alpha labels that specify this.

Thanks in advance. Photos below.

Well, it's pretty much the same as my 2002 Alpha. USA made. Next stop - a year or two later was Vietnam. Not sure where they are made these days.

To the best of mky knowledge, much of the Alpha range is now made in China; I'm not sure if anything is still made in the US. Like for like though, thed Chinese stuff is as good.

It's intersting they've gone over to the embroidered logo on the windflap in the last decade or two. I assume people must have been removing the tags on the sleeve pockets and they wanted a less-easily removed version. More subtle than some branding out there.
