Hello everyone,

I found this jacket in a trunk in my grandfather’s garage in 2012. It was in rough shape and the liner was completely deteriorated. I had it professionally restored and had the original tags sewn back onto the replaced liner. I believe it is the Cossack model and I was wondering if anyone knows the year this jacket was produced and a possible value? Thank you for your assistance!

Looks like one that was made by Californian Sportwear Co. Early 50s judging by the zipper and the fact that it's horsehide. Value depends on size. I'd say between $250 and $500

This is a 1950s Hercules jacket. I personally like the "made in California" label. It is considered a Horsehide half-belt. The value is dependent on condition, originality, size.

Possible value.....it’s grandpa’s loved jacket, stowed away in a trunk for a reason, restored and revived by you.
Priceless
