Only 45 created. One thing different from the original CAF1: Talon front zipper. Nice touch. It says slim fit, but the first run was known to be big. I ordered two sizes. Free shipping. Free exchange shipping.

Nice to see this but I don't get Schott sometimes. I don't know why they will not offer the 641xx style for the US market. I couldn't even order one from them, said I had to buy from a Japanese store...which sucks if it doesn't fit right. Look forward to seeing how it turns out OP.

It IS weird. I got a 641xx on eBay for $350, I think it’s now being offered for $800. I suspect, but can’t guarantee it’s the very same jacket.

I like the CAF1 more.

Did yours go @Monitor ?

I know it was in the classifieds for a while.

Aye, some time ago. It was a beautiful jacket but I just wasn't wearing it. I don't think I've had a jacket I wore less. Same story with every CR I ever had. I'd pick anything over it. Dunno why, really.

These look pretty good but they are a very thick and heavy steer so not for me, unfortunately.

I had a 641XX which I think I prefer but even in a size 44 it was too short. About 25.5 inch back. I need 27 inches in a cafe racer. I also don't understand why Schott won't offer a 641XX to Western buyers directly and offer long sizes. There is a significant market they seem to be missing out on.

I’m trying to figure out which original Schott jacket this reproduces? Beck triple 6? I’ve never seen a Schott styled like this as true vintage. The closest thing had cat eye chest zips. Is that the 50 year old model they are referring too?

I love Schott and one of my current faves is an old Schott suede but man, sometimes I think they really drive their marketing on make believe, dare I say, fake news. This is a nice jacket (not so much for the uncustomizable price) but I think the story behind it is false. Unless I missed an ultra rare at some point.

I think you're right on this. I suspect if you asked GAIL on the Schott forum, she'd have an answer.

I've handled the BECK 666-RS (Schott-made version) and it was pretty lightweight. But yes, similar is style to the CAF1. I think if I took a spill on my bike, I'd rather be wearing the heavy CAF1.

They also made something very similar with slanted chest pockets in the 60s and that closely resembles the 641xx.

Here's one on Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/710303113/vintage-schott-jacket-schott-perfecto?frs=1
