Same Jacket Different Color Which One Would You Choose

Just curious, If you had to choose which jacket would you keep, black or brown?
I don't have many black jackets, and I think I like the brown one better, not sure why.

I always prefer a rich brown jacket to black. Brown just has more depth and goes with more. Black always seems harsh to me.

IMO, brown is more versatile but a lot depends on the rest of your wardrobe- especially whether her your best footwear is primarily black or brown.

I do agree with the above, keep both is possible!

Based on most of your jacket being brown I would keep the black Hercules. With the black Herc you will have a different look and IMO black works better for formal settings. I do have Aero's version of this jacket in mid-weight black Italian Horsehide.

Keep both...but if I had to sell one. I'd keep the Brown. With the contrasting richness.

I'm not sure what it is but I too also like the brown one more. At least judging by the pics. In person it might be different.

I still think I like the brown one better. It seems to change color, taking on almost a reddish look in different light. It is much stiffer than the black and needs to be broken in, to soften it up. The grain just pops already, and is just beautiful.

Well, the "right" answer here is to order a third jacket -- Cordovan!

However that Brown has some cordovan shades to it, and I love how the light plays on that gorgeous leather!

The black is very nice too, however for this pattern, the brown and it's natural color / texture variation just makes it come alive to me.

Thanks for all the input from everyone, this has been a fun conversation. After spending a really quality day at the beach with the black one, wearing it into the cool night time doing some great star gazing, I decided to pass it along.

I ended up breaking even on it, which is nice, and it went to someone who I think is really going to enjoy wearing this beauty. Hard to let go of it, but I just have too many jackets to handle.

Here is some photos of the farewell wear: It will give me pleasure if the owner enjoys this jacket and posts some pice.
