I'm looking for suggestions for a pair of suede saddle shoes or wingtips.

Allan Edmonds have a vrsion of the Shelton ina tan brown combo that looks very nice.

Second the vote for Allen-Edmonds. Their Quinton brown suede brogues are very nice (albeit with a rubber sole):

I'll also say Allen Edmonds. Their shoes are nice, and you can google for the phone number of the Shoe Bank and you could pick up a discontinued first quality or second quality shoe for a very attractive price, and they ship.
