Lightweight Bowler with little signs of wear. I have brushed the hat since the phots any dust of hairs from storage were removed. I do not know much about bowler felting but here what I can say about this Birds hat. The felt is very lightweight has a smooth feel to the felt. The felt is stiff it cannot be re creased. The brim is 1 1/2 without the curl, the crown is 5 1/5. Color pure black. Supple 2" sweatband ventilated corrugation between sweat and felt. Finish is very fine. Tagged 7 1/4 fits true to size 7 7/8 X 6 1/2
